Eva Juliet for Sunday Suppers

I put together a post on Friday about the beautiful prints by artist Eva Juliet. Eva created an absolutely gorgeous dinner menu, and a recipe print for one of my favorite food blogs, Sunday Suppers. As a final treat, Eva designed these beet root bags for their dinner party guests, filled with these beet chips. I absolutely love her work. All the details look fabulous for this lovely get together.

How To Make Beet Chips :
Peel and slice beets very thinly or use a mandoline
Fry Beets in Vegetable oil at 350 degrees, for about 2-4 minutes
transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes

Cool and enjoy !

Enjoy!

A Fabulous dessert table

This amazing dessert table by Merci new york caught my attention right away. It was unique, interesting and beautiful at the same time. It totally has that rustic anthropology feel to it. Below I posted just a few of her tips and secrets for creating a gorgeous dessert table and a DIY on how to make your own macaroon tower.

Remember, these are edible: Don't go all "type A" on your table! This is a dessert and gift table first and a design project second! Be sure to remember that the contents are just as important as the design. No one wants to visit a table of color coordinated icky, unpopular treats. Make sure to have a balance of salty, sweet and savory items, include crowd favorites... and think about the combined tastes of what you are presenting!

Don't ignore your local design stores: Though I love my Sunday at the flea, the hunt is not always worth the time, especially if you are looking for elements that will "transform" or "transition" once you complete your table. For example, I could have scoured the NYC flea markets for hours trying to find a perfect birdcage, but I also knew I was going to snazz it up quite a bit {so the initial birdcage design was not as important as the final product}. So for this project {and coincidentally, also for the chocolate wood trays that house the moss-filled lollipop and popcorn gardens}, I took to my trusty West Elm store. Yes, the birdcage is still available here, and they constantly have a slew of decorative versatile trays on hand - And better yet, they're cheap!

Think monochromatic: I love color, but when it comes to a table theme, it's best to stick with one or two main tones and an accent to make the story "pop". We chose neutral "woodsy" tones for this table, and threw in a cornflower blue, which was the accent tone on the inspiration board.

Office space

As I have stated before we moved into our new home about 6 months ago now. We spent 2 years in the building process and clearing the land and it feels so good to be living here! Anyhow, I gave birth to my son Liam, 1 month after we moved in, and it was during the holidays as well. Needless to say its been busy. I have my own little home office space and I need some budget friendly decor inspiration. Any thoughts?

Fabulous find friday, The Fleabag.

Shira Entis, a fashion designer and lover of all things tiny and over-sized, and Alex Bella lawyer and seeker of adventures craved a convenient and fashion-hot tote that could fit all of their wares. Fleabags are designed as their ideal solution - dapper, large, lightweight and sturdy carry-alls - that are also eco-minded. Thus the brand Fleabags began in 2009 while both still worked their day jobs in New York City. These are so fabulous! I gotta have one. They are stylish, practical and so chic. This bag would also be great as a diaper bag, check out the girl below

Here are few of my favorites below, Also look how nice and wide they open up. Wow! I would actually be able to see what I am pulling out of my purse. They also make a style called the Salt bag which I loved as well.

Rock Denim

Have a fabulous weekend !
